BREAKING: DONALD TRUMP IMPEACHED

Donald Trump may become the third president of the United States in history to be impeached.

Obstruction of congress and abuse of power were the articles of impeachment passed by the house.

Votes:

230-197 – Abuse of Power
229-198 – Obstruction of congress

Only two democrats voted against the obstruction of congress and abuse of power articles. Jeff Van Drew and Collin Peterson.

Ahead of the impeachment votes, there was an intense debate among reps. The democrats and republicans gave reasons why they were voting for and against Donald Trump’s impeachment.

The republicans maintained that the decision to impeach was a great mistake whereas the democrats supported the decision.

A trial is expected in January 2020, as impeachment proceedings will continue in the senate.

The senate will decide if president Donald Trump should be removed from office.
