“Marriage Can Be Tough As Beautiful As It Can Be” – Basketmouth’s Estranged Wife, Elsie Okpocha Tell Nigerians Who Marriage-shamed Women (Video)
Elsie Okpocha, the estranged wife of comedian Basketmouth has some words for Nigerians who are found of Marriage-shaming women.
Elsie who shared three beautiful kids with estranged husband, Basketmouth took to her Instagram account to caution Nigerians against shaming unmarried women.
Elsie noted how ladies and women get shamed for late marriages and late child birth.
The newly divorcee revealed that marriage isn’t easy as it requires hardwork, despite it being beautiful.
“It’s only in this part of this world that people make a big fuss about a woman not being married at a certain age.
“U hear questions like ‘Aunty why are you not married?’ Is she going to marry herself”, Elsie queried.
She added that “People even go as far as suggesting for one to give birth.
“When a woman isn’t married is because she is taking time or hasn’t found the right one”.
Touching on marriage, she said, “Marriage can be tough as beautiful as it can be. It requires hardwork”.

Bright Okpocha and Elsie Uzoma tied the knot in summer 2010 after several years together.
The three went on to welcome daughter Janelle in 2011, son Jason, and their last daughter in 2021. The wife also had three miscarriages.
On Thursday, 22nd December 2022 , Basket Mouth stated he was divorcing his wife, Elsie Uzoma, who is also a native of South Eastern Nigeria.
