“No more gist for you” - Kemi Olunloyo call out blogger from the sickbed after they refused to report her accident

Self-acclaimed investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has cried out from the sickbed after bloggers refused to report her “pedestrian accident.”

Taking to her Instagram page, the journalist accused her colleagues of reporting or making references to her name when they copied and reported her content which helped to boost their platforms.

While encouraging her followers to stay active as she will be back on her feet by the 13th of May, Kemi Olunloyo told bloggers that they won’t be getting news from her as she has now retired from journalism and switched to Wellness.

In her words;

“No Blogger Or Msm Bothered To Report My Pedestrian Accident But If It Were Some Gist They Wanted To Copy Or Report To Boost Their Platform You Will See Me Trending. To My Followers #Staywoke I Will Be Fully Back At Work On Friday The 13th Of May And Resume.

Thank God I retired from journalism and switched to Wellness. No more gist for them.”

Earlier on, Kemi had revealed how her Pedestian accident occurred.

She wrote;

“MY PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE PROTECTING A BABY ON A MOTHERS BACK. In the process I was severely injured on the foot I operated on in July 2020. I wear compression stockings to manage my blood flow, my BP has been low all weekend at 98/70, 100/64 and normalized today 128/80. I am currently with the surgeon who operated on me to see my toenail which lifted up the entire nail bed and bled all weekend with pain.

Without solicitation, I want to thank my Instagram fans who sent me some money however small over the weekend out of kindness to help me with medical bills and care. May God bless you. To those asking why I don’t have a car?

I can’t afford it and work at home so it’s not a major necessity. I can’t even drive anymore with my carpal tunnel and my foot. Any car means getting a driver. I had a driver in Ibadan days for any of my parents cars. I’m okay with public transportation. I relate better with the masses in public transport. I no longer take Uber’s due to kidnapping attempts. They know where you live when they pick you up and drop you.

One day when I die, pls don’t mourn me. I don’t want to be remembered for anything. My professional life was destroyed when I arrived in Nigeria. A country I left at 14yo and went to learn and build other countries when my country rejected me.

Nobody celebrated me here, I CELEBRATE myself today and possibly the last time. I am heading into the podiatry surgeon’s office and will be in surgery shortly. I will be in recovery and out for the rest of the month. Thank you for all your get well wishes in the comments and inbox.

Cheers
