Actor Kanayo. O. Kanayo Speaks About S*x For Roles In Nollywood

Nollywood actor, Kanayo. O. Kanayo, has asked people to disregard rumours about producers requesting s*x in exchange for roles in Nollywood. According to the actor, most ladies are not ready to work, that’s why they quickly blame producers for their inability to secure movie jobs.

Kanayo wrote:

“When you hear of s*x for roles in Nollywood, please do not believe all you are told. Many of the girls are not working hard to live up to the roles they are cast for. Quite a shame”

However , Destiny Etiko, speaking in a chat with Vanguard in November,  said that  s*xual har*ssment is indeed a thing in the industry, however, succumbing to it is a matter of choice.

According to her,

“S*xual har*ssment is everywhere, not just in Nollywood and I won’t lie to you that I’ve never experienced it, because I have. There are people who would want to deprive you of the role given to you because you didn’t sleep with them.

Some will even sleep with you and still not give you the role. So, it is left for you to know yourself and know your job. If you can act well, your blessing will locate you.”
