Manchester United signs Odion Ighalo
Manchester United have signed Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Sipg on loan until the end of the season.
Odion Ighalo has been brought in to replace the injured Marcus Rashford as their search for top four spot continues.
Ighalo scored 14 goals in his first season in the premier with Watford so he knows the Premier league very well and might be the answer to Manchester United ’s attacking problems.
Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar spoke with the club shortly after the signing.
He said Odion is a very experienced player who will bring into the club a different type of centre-forward for the time he will be with them.
He also added that the Nigerian striker is a professional and he is confident, he will put in all his best.
OTHER SIGNINGS
Lamptey have signed for Brighton on a permanent deal. Former Chelsea Right full-back Tariq Lamptey, who played against Arsenal earlier this season in the Premier League have moved to Brighton on a permanent transfer.
Nigerian international Leon Balogun also moved to Wigan on loan until the end of the season.
The Centre-back struggled for game time this season with Brighton and his move away has long been expected by fans. Jan Mlakar also moved to Wigan on loan from Brighton.
Arsenal have signed Cedric Soares on loan until the end of the season from Southampton.
After recently bringing in Pablo Mari from Flamengo on loan, Arsenal is showing its intent to bolster up his defence.
Ryan Bennett has moved to Leicester City on loan until the end of season from fellow Premier League side Wolves. The deal comes with an option to buy.
In Spain, Yannick Carrasco has returned to Atletico Madrid after spending two seasons in China.
The Belgium international had left Atletico Madrid to sign for Dalian Yifang in China.
Lastly, Emre Can who has been struggling for playing time at Juventus have signed for Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal.
