Popular Nigerian car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, widely known as IVD, has made explosive claims about his late wife, Bimbo, accusing her of being physically abusive throughout their marriage.
Speaking during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, IVD alleged that Bimbo regularly assaulted him, including at his workplace.
“She was very dramatic,” he said. “She would come to my office and give me a dirty slap for doing nothing.”

Bimbo died in October 2022 under controversial circumstances, leading to public outrage and widespread accusations of domestic violence against IVD. The Lagos State government later charged him with involuntary manslaughter, while Bimbo’s family accused him of causing her death.
In his defense, IVD claimed he became the target of a smear campaign after her death, accusing Bimbo’s family of falsely alleging that he was HIV-positive and taking away his assets and children.
“They took everything from me — the properties, her belongings, and my five kids. I haven’t seen my kids since,” he said.
He also credited his fiancée, Blessing CEO, for helping him survive his lowest moments. According to IVD, she stood by him when he was suicidal.
“Blessing was there for me when I was down. I shed tears when she wore her wedding gown — she wore 36 of them, and I cried 36 times,” he shared.
