#JusticeforUWA: Don Jazzy, Tacha and others react to the death of UNIBEN female student
Nigerian celebrities, Don Jazzy, Tacha and several twitter users have lamented over the death of a female student of University of Benin, UNIBEN, in Edo State.
The 23-year-old lady, identified as Uwaila Omozuwa, died at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Edo State, after she was beaten and raped inside her local church.
Reacting to the news of her death, Don Jazzy took to his Twitter page to call for justice for Uwa.
“Not again! Not again! I’m really speechless. Uwa deserves justice and Men should do better.” he wrote.
Tacha wrote:
“Heart breaking to wake up everyday to sad news, it’s sickening and terrifying! We are tired. Uwa was raped and murdered in cold blood while reading inside a CHURCH! What did she do wrong. No one deserves this.”

“So it is literally not about the kind of clothes we wore, it’s not about the kind of places we go, it’s not about how we talk or act. Uwa was in a church, properly dressed but she was raped and killed right inside .This is very sad.”
