“When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects… I could have said, ‘Drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it.”
This outburst came in response to Musk’s fierce opposition to Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” a broad tax and spending proposal. Musk condemned the legislation as a “disgusting abomination,” pointing to its potential to increase the federal deficit by $2.4 trillion and eliminate electric vehicle tax credits.
