Mbadiwe Twins Shouldn’t Have Been on Season 9, Added nothing to the show – BBNaija’s Nelly

Former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate, Nelly Mbonu, has stirred controversy after stating that her fellow contestants, Ozee and Ocee Mbadiwe—popularly known as the Mbadiwe Twins—should not have been part of the reality show.

In a recent interview with Hip TV, Nelly claimed the twins contributed little to the show and only gained prominence in the house because of their well-known surname.

“Mbadiwe Twins’ surname made most housemates to be interested in them. They were well respected in the house because of the name. But it wasn’t a thing for me. I don’t care,” she said.

Nelly expressed strong feelings about their presence in the house, suggesting they should have been among the first evicted.

“Mbadiwe Twins should have been evicted in the first week. I feel like they were not supposed to be in Big Brother’s house, to be honest. I felt like they were just, I don’t know, I cannot just say what they were doing in the house.”

Although she admitted they had the right to be on the show, she argued that they didn’t fit into Season 9’s dynamics.

“The Mbadiwe Twins merit to be on the show but not season 9,” she said.

Despite her criticism, Nelly clarified that her views weren’t personal.

“I don’t have anything against them but they are just pissing me off. They annoyed me,” she added.
