It’s officially over for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom after weeks of speculation. The couple, who were reportedly on the rocks for some time, have called it quits, Us Weekly confirmed on Wednesday. TMZ was the first to report the news. Reps for Perry and Bloom did not immediately respond to InStyle’s request for comment.

“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source close to the couple said. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”

The insider explained that things “have been tense for months” between Perry and Bloom, and their split has been “a long time coming.” Perry is reportedly staying “distracted” by “keeping busy” with her ongoing tour.

The Sun also reported that they would likely use the time to have “make-or-break talks” about their future.
