Popular American movie director and screenwriter, Tyler Perry is facing some serious accusations of sexual assault, coming straight from one of the stars of his hit TV show, “The Oval.” According to TMZ, Derek Dixon has filed a lawsuit against Perry, claiming their paths crossed back in 2019 at an event where, according to Derek, Tyler singled him out from the crowd, asking for his phone number and hinting at a possible role.

Derek scored a small role in two episodes of a show called “Ruthless.” But things took a troubling turn. In the lawsuit, Derek alleges that after hanging out at Tyler’s place one night and getting too drunk to function, Tyler crawled into bed with him, started rubbing his thighs, and despite Derek rejecting his advances, Tyler allegedly kept coming back with interest.

According to the suit, Derek felt stuck, fearing that if he outright turned Tyler down, his career could be toast. So, he told him he just wasn’t “the sexual type,” but deep down, he was always on edge about the possibility of losing his job if he ever spoke up about the harassment. Fast forward to later in 2020, when Tyler invited him to Atlanta again, and things reportedly took a dark twist.

Derek says Perry greeted him warmly but quickly turned the vibe sexual, even asking if he “likes it rough in bed,” before allegedly grabbing Derek by the throat and saying, “Look how excited you just got.” Now, Dixon is suing for quid pro quo, workplace sexual harassment, and sexual assault and battery, seeking a whopping $260 million in damages.

Tyler Perry’s lawyer says that Dixon’s claims are “fabricated” and will “fail.”

In DerekDixon’s $260 million lawsuit against TylerPerry, TheOval actor also provided alleged text messages to back up his claims of sexual harassment.
