Daniel Regha, Nigeria’s boldest and most polarizing X personality has again publicised a post that has sent social media into frenzy, as he declared he’d pick a 5.0 CGPA over 5 Bitcoins, which is worth a staggering sum that could buy luxury cars, mansions, or a lifetime of comfort.

In his now-viral X post, Regha wrote, “I will choose 5.0 CGPA over 5 Bitcoins though; Crypto fluctuates but CGPA doesn’t. And anyone who’s able to get 5.0 (by themself) is smart enough to be unstoppable.” The logic? A perfect CGPA is a stable, lifelong achievement that showcases intellect and grit, while Bitcoin’s value swings like a pendulum in a storm.

At the time, 5 Bitcoins were reportedly worth over N800 million, a fortune that could turnaround anyone’s life. Yet, Regha stood firm, stating in a follow-up post:

“Many of you won’t even choose BTC over becoming a Tech expert, but can choose BTC over a solid CGPA; Without knowing what field? OK.” Cue the chaos.
