The custody dispute, which began in 2024, saw Davido seeking joint custody of Imade, alleging that Sophia had denied him access to their daughter. In response, Sophia filed a counter-affidavit, expressing concerns about Davido’s parenting capabilities, especially following the tragic loss of his son, Ifeanyi, in 2022.
