“Davido should forgive and forget, life is too short” — Fan speaks out on Reuniting Friendship with Eniola Badmus

Recently Nigerian music superstar Davido and Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus shared pleasantries during a visit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, suggesting the end of a two-year rift that once strained their longtime friendship. Their fallout began in October 2022, following the tragic drowning of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi.

Eniola faced backlash for announcing the toddler’s death on her YouTube channel, with accusations of exploiting the tragedy for financial gain, leading Davido to unfollow her on Instagram. The once close duo, who shared countless memories, seemed distant until November 2024.

Their reconciliation sparked at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega’s birthday celebration in the UK, where a viral video captured them chatting and shaking hands, reigniting fan excitement. Eniola later celebrated Davido’s 32nd birthday on Instagram, calling him “family” and reminiscing about their bond. 

Recently, in May 2025, they were spotted together in Abuja at the grand opening of a clothing brand and during Davido’s visit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas. Eniola’s caption, “Today’s visit with Oriade @davido,” hinted at a renewed connection. 

However, some fans noted a cautious distance, suggesting their friendship is still healing. While the story is still unfolding, if truly they are on good terms with each other, fans remain hopeful yet intrigued, wondering if their bond will fully reunite again.
