Afrobeats sensation, Davido opens up about why he hung out with Wizkid before his album launch, Timeless.
It would be recalled that in 2023, Davido and Wizkid hung out at a club to end their long-standing beef with a hug, sending fans into a frenzy.
In a recent interview with BBC Radio, Davido revealed that he and Wizkid had no lingering issues before their meetup, and their hangout aimed to restore peace among their fanbases.
According to Davido, prior to their link-up, he reached out to his fans, 30BG, cautioning them not to engage in online clashes with Wizkid’s fans, known as Wizkid FC.
Despite his efforts, they turned a deaf ear, and his album, ‘Timeless’, leaked two days before its official release.
His words, “I hung out with Wizkid before my Timeless album release to maintain peace between 30BG and Wizkid FC, following the online mayhem”.
