Anthony Joshua prostrates as he presents World Heavyweight Titles to Buhari

Anthony Joshua, the World Heavyweight champion has officially presented his titles to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Joshua presented the heavyweight titles to Buhari and other Nigerian dignitaries in the United Kingdom on Saturday.

Anthony Joshua showed respect to the President of the federal republic of Nigeria by prostrating to him.

The 30 year old paid homage to president Buhari in accordance with the yoruba culture.

In a statement made by Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, the president congratulated Anthony Joshua for putting Nigeria on the World Map.

The statement reads:

“The President congratulated the current World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Anthony Joshua, who was the cynosure of all eyes during the meeting, on regaining his world championship belt, as well as putting Nigeria on the world map again like Hogan Bassey,”

Anthony Joshua’s father is from Sagamu in Ogun state.

He was born on the 15th of October 1989 in Watford, Hertfordshire.

He was a bricklayer before becoming a full-time boxer.
