“Skit making is an economic distraction by design, clowns don’t build an economy” – Finance expert, Olumide Adesina

Finance guru, Olumide Adesina, has taken to his X account to criticize excessive content creation/skit making, tagging it as an “economic distraction”.

Olumide asserted that comedians do not help to build a country’s economy. However, Adesina did not totally downplay the essence of entertainment but he believes that it does not bring about mass wealth like agriculture or industrialization.

Olumide Adesina tweeted:

“Excessive skit making is an economic distraction by design, clowns don’t build an economy. Tackling problems are more important than hiding problems.

Entertainment is good, unfortunately it can’t build mass wealth like agriculture and industrialization. Nigerian needs high economic numbers not fun”
