According to blogger Tosinsilverdam, Chioma Rowland decided to end her relationship with Davido since the reason for their bond (Ifeanyi) was no longer alive. Also, her father supported her decision. However, Davido’s dad pleaded they remain together because his son loves Chioma and he is really hopeless at this time. Also, if Chioma’s bride price is not paid, Ifeanyi cannot be buried by Davido and his family according to tradition, rather , Chioma’s family will claim his body.

@_tosinsilverdam well, it’s true that in Igbo tradition the child is really not an Adeleke and can not be buried as one. But now that David has done the needful, Ifeanyi can now be buried as his father’s child. However, regardless of the tradition, if David didn’t love Chioma he would not have paid the dowry. Anyways, it’s the best news I’ve heard today 💃🏼💃🏼 I’m happy for Chioma God will give her double for her loss and laughter for her mourning.

Yes, Toyin Amebo 😂😂. Igbo tradition, a child (dead or alive ) is presumed the woman’s unless a dowry is/was paid. Same goes to a woman. If a woman dies while stil living with you without her dowry paid, her family claims the body and her children (if she has prior to death). If the man wants the the corpse and possibly the children, he will pay the dead woman’s dowry

That’s Igbo tradition na am surprised is not the same in other cultures,if you don’t pay the dowry of a lady if you like born 100kids those kids belong to the ladies family dead or alive and if my mistake the lady die in your house and nothing was paid as dowry, then you have to marry her in death, that means you have to fulfill all marital requirements in full no milus,

Davido can’t bury Ifeanyi in his place without marrying his mother., That’s the main Koko behind the marriage….even though it’s a welcome development too… Oya make una please Follow me.
