“The “golden age” of Nollywood is long over. Everytime I read stories of certain ladies (especially upcoming actresses) indulging in unscrupulous vice just to attain the fast lane even at the expense of another woman’s marriage/happiness, it rankles my spirit. Now, it seems this is the accepted norm in today’s society! Why?”

“What happened to the days when screen goddesses like: Chioma Apotha, Regina Askia, Rita Dominic, Rita Nzelu, Sandra Achums, Steph Nora, Ufuoma McDermott and Vicky Inyama to mention but a few graced our screens and bestrode Nollywoodsphere without needlessly flaunting new SUVs or newly built 5-bedroom apartment?
Indeed, the “golden age” of Nollywood is long over. And this is the stark reality we’re forced to live with. We await another report of Actress X whose Black Range Rover Sport Autobiography (2020 Model) is parked somewhere at Asokoro, Abuja to hit the blogosphere…”

Victoria responded:

“But don’t blame them too much. Society/fans expect them to live a certain luxurious lifestyle, their acting is even graded as per their cars and hotels attended Not on acting performance. They then try to live up to expectations. Banana Island residence is a measure of Society’s adoration…..sadly it’s all about Money money money. Just have money. “
