Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband, Ojani Noa, has openly criticized the singer following her recent remarks about not feeling truly loved, accusing her of being unfaithful during their marriage and playing the victim.
Taking to Instagram, Ojani expressed his frustration over Lopez’s comments, claiming that she had been loved many times but was the cause of her failed relationships.
“The problem [is] not us. Not me. The problem [is] you,” he wrote. “You’re the one who couldn’t keep it in your pants. You have been ‘loved’ a few times. You have been married four times. And have had countless relationships in between. You have had good relationships… me, for example.”
Ojani, a Cuban-born actor and fitness trainer, said he was deeply in love with Lopez during their brief marriage from 1997 to 1998, insisting that he was faithful and devoted while she chose fame and fortune over their union.
“I’m an amazing, loving person, great human being. Honest, faithful to you, never lied, never [misbehaved], never cheated on you. I was good to you. I’m too good of a [man] for you,” he continued.
The former model revealed that he sacrificed a lot to support and protect Lopez at the start of her career. “I was in love with you. I moved out of state to support, protect, and care for you,” he said, expressing disappointment that his loyalty was not reciprocated.
According to Ojani, the marriage began to fall apart when Lopez allegedly cheated and became more focused on building her celebrity status. “You decided to lie, to cheat on me and even though I stayed,” he said, adding that she “chose fame and fortune” over their relationship.
He further alleged that Lopez pleaded with him to remain in the marriage to avoid negative publicity at the time. “You begged me to stay to avoid bad press,” he wrote. “But you, you [went] for the fast last of your career/stardom not caring about me. You wanted to continue cheating and lying.”
Ojani claimed he eventually ended the marriage because he could no longer handle her dishonesty. “I couldn’t stay and deal anymore with the constant lying, that’s why I left you, that’s why I divorced you,” he explained.
In his closing remarks, the 49-year-old urged Lopez to come clean about what really happened between them and take responsibility for her actions.
“You should be embarrassed, ashamed of [yourself],” he concluded. “Tell the truth for once. The problem is you.”
Lopez and Noa’s relationship was one of the pop star’s earliest high-profile romances. They met when she was still rising in Hollywood and tied the knot in February 1997, but their marriage lasted just under a year before ending in divorce in January 1998.
Their split has occasionally resurfaced in the media over the years, often due to Noa’s comments about their relationship and Lopez’s subsequent marriages — including her most recent one to actor Ben Affleck.
