Tragedy has struck the entertainment world with the death of acclaimed actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who passed away in a heartbreaking accident while on a family vacation in Costa Rica on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

According to reports, Warner died from accidental drowning after being caught in a powerful ocean current. The cause of death was confirmed as asphyxia due to drowning.

Warner rose to fame for his iconic role as Theodore “Theo” Huxtable, the witty and endearing son of Cliff and Clair Huxtable, a character that endeared him to audiences around the globe and cemented his legacy in television history.
