“Sadness Flies Away On The Wings Of Time” – Davido Consoles Wizkid Following The Loss Of His Mother

Popular Nigerian afrobeat star, David Adeleke Adedeji better known as Davido has sent his condolence message to his colleague, Wizkid following the loss of his mother.

You may recall we reported on Friday that Wizkid had lost his mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun.

The singer’s mother died at around 1.30 am on Friday, August 18th.

The sad news of Wizkid’s mom’s death was confirmed to “The Punch” by the singer’s long-time manager, Sunday Aare.

“Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am”, he said.
The deceased is survived by three children; Ayodeji Balogun (Wizkid), Yetunde Balogun, and Lade Balogun.

Reacting to the news, Davido stated that sadness flies away on the wings of time.
Consoling him, he revealed that he is praying for the singer, who he described as his brother.

“Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo Sadness flies away on the wings of time”.
