Rapper 50 Cent’s Oldest Son Marquise Offers Him $6,700 In Exchange For 24 Hours Of Quality Time
American rapper, 50 Cent’s eldest son Marquise Jackson is offering to pay his estranged father $6,700 in exchange for a day of quality time.
The 25-year-old posted a picture on Instagram Monday October 10, where he’s sitting next to the word “entitled” spelled out in $100 bills. “Since y’all think $6,700 is sooo much money someone tell my pops I will pay him $6,700 for just 24hr of his time so we can do everything I ever wanted to do with him as a kid,” he wrote.
He accompanied the request with a shot in which he spelled out the phrase ‘Entitled’ in paper currency, a spoof of a photo 50 Cent previously posted spelling out the phrase ‘Broke’ in hundred dollar bills.
50 Cent, seemingly in response to Marquise’s post, posted a clip from his series Power in which his character Kanan killed his son.
Marquise previously said in an Instagram Live chat with Choke No Joke earlier this month that the $6700 monthly total was not sufficient considering cost-of-living expenses in New York City, as well as in correlation to the earnings of the rapper/mogul.
He said: “$6700 a month in … New York City, you do the math. You’re talking about a Forbes lister you’re talking about someone that has problems with everybody you can’t just live in any neighborhood, $81K is not a substantial amount of money. You can’t just live anywhere.”
“You talking about you got beef with everybody in the industry, you can’t just live anywhere.”
In the chat, Marquise asked Choke, “If I told you right now you gotta start your life over right now with $6700 a month and rebuild your life can you do it,” to which Choke said he could.
Marquise continued: “Choke you gotta stop comparing it, you comparing it to yourself, bro, you’re comparing it to your standard of lifestyle. You can’t do that. I know what it feels like to have nothing, alright. I had to rebuild my life over with $6700 a month. $81,000 a year.”
Speaking about his relationship with Marquise in 2020 in an Instagram Live interview with Van Lathan, 50 Cent detailed their estrangement.
“I didn’t think that success would cost me my first-born, but it’s the situation it is,” he said. “My grandfather used to say, ‘If it rattles like a snake and slithers like a snake, is it a snake or do you need to be bit?’ What he keeps saying is, every time you see the boy he show up with somebody you got a problem with. What does that tell you?”
