“Add My Surname To My Wife’s Name”- Anita Joseph’s Husband Tackles Nollywood For Omitting His Surname From Film Credit
Fisayo Michael Olagunju, also known as Real MC Fish, has complained after he watched a recent movie of his wife.
The comedian tackled nollywood for failing to add his name to that of his wife in a movie, stating she is a married woman, therefore she is supposed to bear his surname.
His words:
“This is to the stakeholders of nollywood, producers, directors…any time una feature my wife for film, make una dey add her surname…..Olagunju….. Anita Joseph Olagunju. This is a direct message to the actors guild of Nigeria, she is married now. Dem nor go put problem for una marriage.”
He also wrote on his story:
“As much as people don’t wanna admit it, a man loving his woman proudly, loyal and boldly is very rare. It’s rare to a point that when a man shows respect and affection for his woman, he is called “stupid” or being told he loves too much and it should be toned down. It’s unfortunate that a lot of kids didnt grow up with a father around to show them daily that love and affection are so beautiful. Not all men want to chill with their guys every weekend. Some men actually have built a friendship with their partner.
“They love being home and embracing their wives………stupid men have become so manipulative that they now put a title of “maturity and privacy” as a form of hiding their women. Most of these men have never found genuine love and happiness because no woman is ready to settle down with a man who won’t show her off. The relationship community have a lot of healing to do”
