Rihanna is currently dealing with a deep personal loss as her father, Ronald Fenty, has died at the age of 70. Reports say he passed away in Los Angeles after a short illness. Family members, including Rihanna’s younger brother Rajad, were spotted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was being treated.
Ronald Fenty, who was originally from Barbados, had a complicated relationship with his famous daughter. In the past, he battled alcohol and drug addiction, which played a part in the split between him and Rihanna’s mother when she was just 14 years old. Their bond faced challenges, including a legal fight in 2019 over claims that he was misusing Rihanna’s name for business purposes. Despite this, they were able to reconnect in recent years.
In 2020, when Ronald tested positive for COVID-19, Rihanna stepped in with love and care—checking in on him daily and even sending him a ventilator to help with his recovery.
At the time of his death, Rihanna was reportedly by his side. The singer, who is rumored to be expecting her third child with A$AP Rocky, has yet to speak publicly about the sad news. Fans around the world are sending their love and support.
