Drama ensues in Nollywood as Halima Abubakar, files ₦30 billion lawsuit against the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) following her suspension.
The actress’s suspension followed allegations of defamatory remarks and extramarital relationships with prominent Nollywood figures.
Meanwhile, Halima Abubakar’s management team released a statement claiming she was never summoned to address the allegations before her suspension.
The statement accuses AGN President, Emeka Rollas, of defamation, demanding the removal of the defamatory publication and public apology.
The solicitors demanded N30 billion in damages, threatening legal action if their demands are not met within seven days.
As of press time, the AGN remains silent on the demands.
