“Yall n!ggas really want me out of the game that bad??” – Davido reacts to new photos of him on a blog, announces music retirement again (DETAILS)
Famous Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, aka. Davido, took to his social media, to reveal his intention to retire from the music industry, for the third time.
The multi-award-winning and grammy three times nominated singer, has revealed this on the 9th of May, 2024. He made this an intention in order to satisfy the peace of his critics.
Absolutely, Davido opined that since he came into the industry, most of his colleagues haven’t experienced peace of mind.
In a glance into his career, Davido stated that he did not want to get to a phase when people no longer have peace of mind because he is doing music.
The musician, who recently survived several online feuds. First from the case of the American influencer who exposed his ‘kneeling and crying’ video on X platform, saying he was begging to cheat and next was from his rival, Wizkid, dragging for who does the music best and on the current issue with the Abuja Barber, Kallystouch, for referring him as the 003 in the Nigerian music industry.
In the tick of time, Davido has reawakened his idea of retiring from music as he took to instagram with a post he captioned;
“Yall niggas really want me out of the game that bad?? Oya after next album, I no do again. So una fit get peace.”
MOMEDIA recalled when Davido took a break for some months, after death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, and later returned to the music scene after a period of grief and mourning.
Moreover, his ‘Timeless’ album is still making serious wave in the industry, while he still organized shows, tours and collaborations to power the strength of his name in Entertainment all over the world.
In 2018, Davido was 25 years old at that time when he hinted his fans on when he thinks retirement will happen before he clocks 30, which was slated in 5 years from that time and now, in the future of his words.
During the live interview that time, Davido said:-
“I am 25 now, and I have a five-year plan. “By the time I am 30, I don’t want to be actively doing music anymore”.
It is already 5 good years for the music star, if he will actually face the retirement, despite the amazing records about his legacy and how much worth his fans across the world have benefited from his kind of tunes.
