The Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, April 6, his daughter, Modupe Oreoluwa, out in marriage to her husband, Oladele Johnson. Their exchange of vows took place at the Cathedral Church of Christ in Lagos.

Popular Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, has revealed why it’s difficult for women in her field to find true love.

During an interview with Punch, Laide Bakare lamented that men are attracted to her celebrity status rather than to her true nature.

At the interview, Laide Bakare revealed why she ventured into acting.

According to Laide Bakare, she had an interest in studying journalism, but ended up studying theater and media arts.

Speaking further, the movie star revealed that her study of theater and media arts not only broadened her perspective on storytelling and communication, but also ignited a passion for the entertainment industry.

In her words, “As an actress, producer and director, my primary challenge has to do with navigating relationships and finding true love.

Sometimes, people are attracted to my status and my profession, rather than the essence of who I am”.

I was inspired by broadcasters, as well as the deep love I had for journalism. I initially aspired to study Mass Communication; but fate steered me towards Theatre Arts”.
