Heartbreaking: Actress Funke Akindele Loses Mum, Family Shares Details

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has lost her mother, Adebanjo Akindele to the cold hands of death.

Funke’s sister shared the sad news on her social media page.

It reads:

It is with heavy hearts, but in total submission to God Almighty that the ADEBANJO and AKINDELE families announce the passing of their daughter, mother, grandmother and sister, DR. R B ADEBANJO-Akindele,which occured on Tuesday 07 February 2023.

May her gentle soul begin its rest eternal in peace. Amen. Obsequies in honour of her passing shall be announced in due course –

In other news, Funke Akindele has joined other celebrities to congratulate singer Teams on winning the best Melodic Rap performance at the 2023 Grammy awards ceremony.

The beautiful mother of twins took to her Instagram page to share a video of Teams interview after she won the Grammy Award.

Funke described Tems as the pride of Nigeria, Africa and women all over the world. She also stated that Tems win is an inspiration to the young women out there to keep pushing against all boundaries, keep working hard, stay original to their craft.
