Phyna Cries Out After Allegedly Being Detained by Abuja Hotel, Accuses Management of Endangering Her Life

Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has taken to social media to accuse a hotel in Abuja of putting her life in danger and unlawfully detaining her over alleged property damages worth ₦3.5 million.

Her outburst comes shortly after a viral video showed her involved in a heated altercation at the hotel.

In a series of posts shared via her Instagram story, Phyna claimed that the hotel — located in the Swarinpa area of Abuja — allowed a group of unidentified men to gain access to her room through the reception, where they reportedly attempted to attack her.

According to the reality star, the men were able to break into her room after allegedly receiving her room number from the hotel staff.

“Bcuz I’m Phyna I’m being forced by a hotel that could not secure me in their premises,” she wrote.

“An hotel that allowed touts through their main gate, through reception up till 2nd floor to bang, break down the door. Same hotel that told the touts my room number. I’ve never seen that type of thing.”

Phyna alleged that the management later tried to detain her over claims that she damaged property worth ₦3.5 million. She said she refused to pay the fee, insisting she was the victim in the incident.

She continued, “Dalchifit hotel in Swarinpa allowed touts to come in the hotel to fight me and now they are about to lock me up till Monday cuz I refused to pay a damage of 3.5m. Please, I’m in prison rn.”

The reality star also expressed deep frustration over what she described as a string of misfortunes she has faced recently, adding that she felt emotionally drained.

“Omo, this 2025 for just take me leave my sister,” she lamented, referencing her late sister, Ruth, whom she has publicly mourned in the past.

As of now, the management of Dalchifit Hotel has not released any official statement regarding Phyna’s claims.
