A fresh report has stirred political waters with claims that former President Goodluck Jonathan is preparing to return to the presidential race in 2027.

According to a source identified as a close ally and top PDP chieftain, Jonathan is “ready to throw his hat into the ring” and face off against President Bola Tinubu at the next general election.

The insider reportedly told newsmen on Thursday, August 7, that the movement to bring Jonathan back “has gone far,” with many Nigerians allegedly viewing him as a symbol of renewed hope amidst rising national frustrations.

Although constitutionally allowed to serve only one more term, some political watchers believe this limited tenure makes Jonathan an ideal transitional leader for a country yearning for stability and unity.
