Colorado Buffaloes head coach, Deion Sanders, has undergone bladder surgery following his earlier diagnosis with bladder cancer in 2025.
Despite the health setback, Sanders has remained dedicated to his duties as head coach of the University of Colorado football team. He publicly disclosed his diagnosis and treatment plan during a press conference, where he expressed deep appreciation for his medical team.
Sanders praised their professionalism and used the opportunity to encourage regular health screenings, stressing the importance of early detection and timely treatment.
He has since been declared cancer-free by Dr. Janet Kukreja, Director of Urologic Oncology at UCHealth, who confirmed that the surgery was successful and that Sanders is on the path to full recovery.
