Street-pop star Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has declined a ₦100 million offer to physically take on controversial online figure Martins Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan.
The musician, in a video shared via his Instagram page, insisted that the amount was too small to get him into a fight, boldly stating that he would only consider the offer if the payment reached ₦1 billion.
“That ₦100 million, my fans give it to me. ₦100 million is small for me to fight VDM. Let them give me one billion, I will fight him and beat him,” he said.
He also criticised those pushing him to engage in a fight they themselves wouldn’t dare face.
“If anybody can drop ₦1 billion, I will fight him. Someone you can’t hold, you are now asking me to fight and beat him.
“You are scared of him, you can’t jail him,” Portable added.
Tensions between Portable and VeryDarkMan have escalated in recent weeks, following the singer’s public disapproval of VDM’s repeated criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s government. Their online clashes have since evolved into a full-blown social media war, complete with verbal jabs and diss tracks from both sides.
