A concerned member of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) has gone viral after posting an emotional video message urging Pastor Jerry Eze to prioritize his health and well-being.
Though not a member of the Streams of Joy church led by Pastor Eze, the speaker, a woman, described herself as a devoted follower of the NSPPD online prayer platform. In the video, she expressed admiration for Pastor Eze’s commitment but raised serious concerns about the toll such a demanding schedule could take on his physical health.
“I’m an NSPPD member. I’m talking from NSPPD’s side. Streams of Joy is not my church, but I’m a member of NSPPD,” she began.
She referenced a recent instance where Pastor Eze preached in America one day and was already back on the pulpit in Abuja the next morning. She questioned the sustainability of such a routine and pleaded with the pastor to slow down.
“Pastor Jerry, wisdom is profitable to direct… Look at Daddy Idahosa. What happened? It was sad we lost him,” she said, invoking the memory of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, who was widely respected but died at a relatively young age.
She continued with a heartfelt tone, asking whether the pastor had considered what people would say if anything unexpected were to happen to him.
“Have you considered that? And that’s the reason, Pastor Jerry, you need to take care of yourself. You’re led by the Spirit, I know. But sir, this flesh, this body, needs rest.”
She also referenced the biblical principle of day and night being created with purpose, suggesting that rest was divinely instituted.
“There’s something they call rest. Before God created the day and night, there’s a purpose for it. When do you sleep? When do you rest?”
The video ends with a sincere appeal rooted in care and concern for both the pastor and his family.
“Sir, this is from someone that loves you so much and cares for your family. Find time and rest.”
