Bbnaija’s Anto Lecky Appointed SSA on Tourism and Creative Economy in Edo State

Former Big Brother Naija star and media professional, Anto Lecky, has announced her appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Edo State on Tourism and Creative Economy.

Taking to her Instagram page on Monday, July 22, Anto shared the news with her followers, thanking Governor Monday Okpebholo for the opportunity to serve her home state and country once again in a new public role.

“I thank His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State… for the opportunity to serve him, my state and my country again in another capacity,” she wrote.

In her post, Anto emphasized that the time is ripe for Edo State to shine on the global stage, especially in light of recent cultural developments. “With the return of many stolen Benin Bronze, soon-to-be opened museums, and an ever-growing entertainment industry, there is no better time for Edo State to be on the forefront of tourism and the creative economy in Nigeria and the world,” she noted.

She expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with partners and investors, saying, “Edo State’s borders and its economy are open to all, travelers and investors, domestic and international. I look forward to working with all stakeholders.”

In a cultural nod to her Etsako heritage, Anto explained her outfit choice in her official portrait: “As a proud Edo babe… I am wearing the Gbogane fabric of my Etsako tribe… and red coral beads which signify royalty, power, dominance, and protection.”

Anto Lecky, who rose to national prominence as a contestant on Big Brother Naija, has remained active in youth empowerment, media, and public service.
