US software company Astronomer has launched an internal investigation after a video showing CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot in an intimate moment at a Coldplay concert went viral.
The incident unfolded during the concert on Wednesday when the pair appeared on the stadium’s “kiss cam”—a light-hearted fan segment encouraging couples to kiss. The footage captured Byron and Cabot swaying closely with arms wrapped around each other before ducking away in apparent embarrassment as the camera focused on them.
Following widespread speculation online, the company issued a statement via X (formerly Twitter) clarifying that no other employees were involved and denying false rumours about the presence of other executives.
“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding,” the company stated.
“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.
The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.
Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. Andy Byron has not put out any statement, reports saying otherwise are all incorrect.”
The company emphasized that the situation is being taken seriously, with leadership expected to uphold company standards.
Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the viral clip, Andy Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Bryon, removed his surname from her Facebook profile, deleted posts referencing their marriage, and set her account to private—moves that have intensified speculation about the state of their relationship.
