“When Both Partners Have the Same Habits, Who Brings Balance? – Baba Fryo on 2Baba and Annie

Veteran Nigerian musician Baba Fryo has shared his thoughts on the high-profile breakup between music star 2Baba and his ex-wife, actress Annie Idibia.

Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, Fryo attributed the collapse of their marriage to their shared involvement in the entertainment industry, which he believes can complicate relationships when not properly managed.

“2Face and his ex-wife didn’t manage themselves well. They are both entertainers. Annie is an actress, and 2Face is a musician,” Baba Fryo said.

He explained that in traditional relationships, the woman often plays the role of a stabilizing force, especially when the man has certain vices. However, he questioned the possibility of stability when both partners indulge in similar behaviors.

“In marriage, when the couple are out, the woman must watch the man. When the man is drinking, the woman will be watching him, and if he is drinking too much, the woman will calm him. But if you marry a woman who also drinks, when you’re both drunk, who will take the other home?” he asked.

Baba Fryo further stated that such dynamics can lead to insecurity in a relationship, prompting one partner to seek stability elsewhere.

“When a man sees that, he will become insecure in the marriage. And when he goes out and sees another woman with a different attitude… I’m not saying it’s a good attitude, oh, because even 2Face’s current lover, Natasha, is someone I have known,” he added.

He also revealed a personal connection to Natasha, 2Baba’s current partner, saying, “I have known her since childhood and once carried her on my lap when she was just three years old.”

Fryo’s comments have sparked discussions on the complexities of celebrity relationships and the challenges of balancing fame with personal commitments.
