Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani has revealed that she has never been romantically approached by men from her home country, claiming that most of the attention she receives in Kenya comes from foreigners.
The former Chocolate City signee opened up about her experiences during a recent episode of The Box Pod, where she addressed the lack of romantic interest from Kenyan men.
“I don’t get approached in Kenya. Nobody approaches me, unless they are not from here,” she said.
Kimani suggested that this could be due to a lack of confidence or a fear of rejection. “It’s like a lack of confidence or they just assume that I’m going to turn them down or they just don’t know how [to approach me]. It’s like they lack game,” she added.
Offering advice to men, the singer said that approaching women doesn’t require perfection but rather confidence, good hygiene, and proper communication.
According to her, “Sometimes when men approach women, they use inappropriate languages which turn the women off, leading to rejection.”
Though Kimani has kept her love life largely private, she has in the past been romantically linked to Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani and Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz.
