Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has rolled out his eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, further cementing his influence on the global music scene.

The 16-track body of work officially became available Friday under Spaceship Records, Bad Habit, and Atlantic Records, showcasing Burna Boy’s continued evolution as a boundary-pushing Afro-fusion artist.

No Sign of Weakness blends both fresh offerings and previously released singles, including fan favourites like “Bundle by Bundle,” “Update,” “Sweet Love,” and “TaTaTa,” which features U.S. rapper Travis Scott. Another already familiar track on the album, “Change Your Mind,” includes a guest appearance by Nigerian-American singer Shaboozey.

New tracks introduced in this project include “No Panic,” “Buy You Life,” “No Sign of Weakness,” “Love,” “Come Gimme,” “Dem Dey,” “28 Grams,” “Kabiyesi,” “Empty Chairs,” “Pardon,” and “Born Winner.”

Among the high-profile collaborations is a standout appearance by Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger on “Empty Chairs,” while Belgian singer-songwriter Stromae lends his vocals to “Pardon,” adding international depth to the album.

Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, described the album as a deeply introspective work that mirrors his resilience. According to him, the title reflects a personal philosophy: refusing to yield to pressure or pain, no matter how intense. He explained that the songs on this project are a reflection of his battles—both seen and unseen—and his choice to project strength rather than surrender to vulnerability.

Since bursting onto the scene with the hit “Like to Party” in 2013, Burna Boy has consistently delivered critically acclaimed projects such as L.I.F.E, On a Spaceship, Outside, African Giant, Twice As Tall, Love, Damini, and I Told Them. His 2021 Grammy win for Twice As Tall in the ‘Best World Music Album’ category marked a defining moment in his career, placing him firmly on the map as one of Africa’s most celebrated international artists.

The release of No Sign of Weakness coincides with his headline performance at Afro Nation Portugal’s closing night. Burna Boy is expected to take over the Lit Stage, giving fans their first live taste of his new material.

This album not only expands Burna Boy’s rich discography but also demonstrates his fearless experimentation with sound, as he continues to redefine Afro-fusion for a global audience.
