Nicki Minaj has taken to X (formerly Twitter) with a fiery outburst aimed at music mogul Jay Z and Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez, accusing them of financial deceit, political hypocrisy, and damaging influence across multiple industries.
In a series of tweets posted between Monday and Tuesday, the “Pink Friday” rapper alleged that Jay Z owes her between $100 to $200 million, claiming she was shortchanged in the sale of music streaming platform Tidal.
According to Minaj, she was offered just $1 million for her equity stake despite reportedly owning a larger percentage of the company.
“We’ve calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It’s only collecting more interest. You still in my TOP 5 tho,” she tweeted, before adding, “And anyone still calling him Hov will answer to God for the blasphemy.”
Minaj didn’t stop there. In another tweet, she took a direct swipe at both Jay Z and Perez, whom she mockingly referred to as “Desirat.”
“Dear #JayZ & Desirat,
You ruined hiphop
You ruined football
You ruined basketball
You ruined touring
You ruined instagram
You ruined Twitter
The jig is up.
All of this is alleged & for entertainment purposes only.”
The rapper further criticized Perez for accepting a pardon from U.S. President Donald Trump in 2021, questioning how Roc Nation could publicly align itself with Democratic figures while maintaining ties with Trump. She also accused Jay Z of political opportunism, pointing out his silence during past Democratic campaigns.
“So lemme get this straight. Y’all so-called black savior #JayZ has a Hispanic CEO who was pardoned by President Trump?… Did JayZ ever campaign for Kamala?? When President Obama gave the speech about ‘brothers’ why didn’t Jigga man… campaign for the democratic party?”
Minaj also referenced the ongoing paternity case filed by Rymir Satterthwaite, who claims Jay Z is his biological father. Although Jay Z has denied the allegations, Minaj appeared to allude to the case in another tweet, writing, “Oh is this why he was trending the other day? Idk. I hope all is well. To God be the glory.”
While Jay Z and Roc Nation have yet to respond, Minaj’s explosive comments have ignited heated discussions online, with fans divided over the rapper’s motives and timing.
