Charles Idibia, the younger brother of Nigerian music legend 2Baba, has written a deeply emotional open letter to the singer, calling for him to take a break and reflect on his life, while making serious accusations against his partner, Natasha.

His letter follows 2Baba’s recent appearance on Nedu’s podcast, where the singer stirred controversy by saying men are not naturally wired to be sexually faithful to one woman.

The singer later issued a heartfelt apology on Instagram, admitting he had “fucked up,” and apologising to his wife Natasha, his fans, and his children. In his words, “that’s not who I am.”

Weighing in on the controversy, Charles shared a lengthy post on Tuesday, claiming his brother was being manipulated and controlled. He alleged that Natasha is steadily tearing 2Baba apart under the guise of love.

“You have been captured, captured from inside the frying pan to an industrial furnace,” Charles wrote, describing 2Baba as someone who always puts others first, even to his own detriment. “To the guy who I would dare to describe as the modern-day Jesus Christ from Nigeria… I beg you today, to WAKE UP!”

He went further, accusing Natasha of extreme behaviour, including phone snooping, cloning 2Baba’s WhatsApp, interfering with his emails and business accounts, and even posting on his social media without consent.

“A girlfriend who makes you eat your words from a podcast just because you didn’t mention her name she would have liked, is not a girlfriend but a psychotic fan… a cancerous leech who has come to slowly but steadily destroy you and your legacy, all in the name of love,” he said.

Charles claimed she falsely presents herself as 2Baba’s wife while he is still legally married and has isolated him from his Lagos-based team, dragging him instead across cities for her own agenda.

“You are in one of the episodes of those Crime and Investigation / Love, Passion & Murder shows you love to watch, and the victim at the end of the story is going to be you. How haven’t you realised this? You are currently living in bondage,” he warned.

In his closing plea, Charles urged 2Baba to step away from the spotlight and reconnect with himself.

“Take a couple of months off ALONE, get completely off social media and let the music and businesses wait. Give yourself time to heal and reflect… in the names of your 7 lovely kids, they would love to grow up with a healthy and happy father in future.”

He added, “You are a great chess player, you know when it’s time to step away from the chess board and evaluate the game from an outside perspective… this is that time, before it gets too late.”
