The footage went viral on social media, with users speculating about Angel’s sexuality. In response to the buzz, Angel took to her Snapchat to address the comments and criticisms from netizens.
“Nigerians discover that other people don’t share the same politics as them and then lose their minds,” she wrote. “Like wow, calling me a lesbian is not the gag you think it is nor is it an insult.”
Angel stated that the clips were shared intentionally, stating, “Mind you, THIS is my life, you people did not come upon some secret thing, I posted it MYSELF.”
