“You have received $625,000 from eeZee concept till date. You’re now attempting to claim ownership of a catalogue I fully funded. You claim that you sing for Jesus, but your actions paint a different picture”- CEO, eeZee concept cries out over his recent court case with Mercy Chinwo

EeZee Concept CEO Accuses Mercy Chinwo of Breach of Contract Amid Legal Battle.
The CEO of EeZee Concept, a renowned Nigerian gospel record label, has publicly accused award-winning gospel artist Mercy Chinwo of breach of contract and financial misconduct amidst an ongoing court case between the two parties.
In a detailed Instagram post, the CEO revealed that Mercy Chinwo had received a total of $625,000 from the label. He further alleged that she was now attempting to claim ownership of a catalogue that the label had fully funded.
The CEO expressed his disappointment, stating:
> “$625,000 – that is how much you have received from EeZee Concept till date. But you would prefer to insulate that part so as to keep deceiving people and weeping sentiments on how you signed a bad contract or had been treated badly. Same deal you desperately pursued me for years and had to get third parties to impress on EeZee Concept to sign you.”
According to the CEO, the contract included a fair 50/50 gross earnings ratio, but Chinwo allegedly failed to honor key obligations, including the delivery of a third album.
> “You breached our contract by failing to deliver a third album and withholding funds meant for the label from content and events. When this happened, I didn’t attack you. Instead, I reached out, proposing a reconciliation meeting and resolution.”
He also recounted a traumatic experience, alleging that he was illegally detained by the EFCC for nine days due to Mercy Chinwo’s actions, during which $274,000 was extorted from him. Despite this, he chose to resolve the issue legally rather than publicly calling her out.
> “Last year, I was illegally detained by EFCC for nine days, far from Lagos, where our business took place. Under duress, $274,000 was extorted. Yet, I still didn’t resort to dragging you publicly. As a law-abiding citizen, I chose to follow the legal processes outlined in the contract you signed with EeZee Concept.”
The CEO also questioned Chinwo’s integrity, criticizing her actions that contradict her public image as a gospel artist.
> “While claiming and singing it’s all for Jesus, your actions paint a different picture. If your hands are clean, why avoid the Multidoor resolution process in our agreement? Why manipulate institutions to bully me?”
This public revelation has sparked mixed reactions online, with fans divided over the ongoing controversy. Mercy Chinwo is yet to respond publicly to these allegations.
The case continues to attract attention, as it involves two key figures in the Nigerian gospel music industry.
