NYSC@50: Throwback Photos Of Davido, Cee-c, Real Warri Pikin & Other Celebrities In Their Uniforms
As the National Youth Service Corps marks its 50th anniversary, we look back at some throwback photos of Nigerian celebrities like Davido, Taaooma, Cee – C and others in their NYSC uniforms.
The required one-year compulsory service from graduates of tertiary institutions to their fatherland came into existence through Decree 24 of May 22, 1973, which stated that the NYSC is being established with the proper encouragement and development of common ties among Nigerian youths and the promotion of national unity.
The NYSC scheme was established in an effort to rebuild, reconcile, and reconstruct the country following the Nigerian Civil War.
