Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has spoken out against men who subject their partners to verbal abuse, warning that emotional harm can be just as devastating as physical violence.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress addressed the issue, stressing that harsh words can leave deep emotional scars that apologies can never truly heal.
Regina explained that while verbal abuse may not cause visible injuries, it can destroy a woman’s self-worth, happiness, and inner peace. She further noted that once a woman’s peace of mind is shattered, she never remains the same.
In her words: “Verbally abusing your woman is just as bad as hitting her, because those words echo in places no apology can reach. You might not leave marks on her skin, but you’ll leave damage on her heart, her confidence, and her peace. And once a woman’s peace is gone, you’ll never get the same version of her again.”
Her post has drawn attention and praise from many who commended her for speaking up about emotional abuse and its lasting impact on women.
