“Why I Supported Peter Obi During The Presidential Election” – Author, Chimamanda Adiche Reveals In Her Latest Interview ( VIDEO)

Award winning Nigerian author, Chimamanda Adiche has revealed why she supported Labour party presidential candidate, Peter Obi during the just concluded presidential election.

Speaking in a latest interview with Arise Television, Chimamanda Adiche revealed that she did not support Peter Obi because of ethnicity
stating that she supported him because of her faith in his ability.

At the interview, she also revealed that she knew Peter obi years back when he came to pay homage to her parents.

In her words;

“I did not support Peter obi because he is an igbo that i am”.

“I knew Peter Obi when he came to pay homage to my parents after my dad became the first professor of statistics in Nigeria and when my mum retired as the first female registra of the University of Nigeria”.

“I don’t think most people care about ethnicity as much as they care about a Nigeria that work”.

“My support for Peter Obi is rooted in his atecedents and my faith in his ability”.
