“The gods did not recognise that union”- Igbo people critise Williams Uchemba for refusing Palm Wine on his wedding day
Nollywood actor and philanthropist, Williams Uchemba who got married to his American based fiancee, Brunella Oscar has been criticised by some people from the Igbo tribe for refusing the palm wine his wife offered him.
In Ibo tradition, on the day of the wedding, the wife is supposed to give her husband a cup of palm wine drink.
In Uche’s case, after collecting the drink, he poured it on the ground.
The actor has been heavily criticised on social media for this act, however some people supported his decision. See few reactions below:
