Nollywood Mourns as Joke Silva Loses Elder Brother

Nollywood actress Joke Silva is receiving an outpouring of support from colleagues and fans following the death of her elder brother.

The wife of veteran actor Olu Jacobs shared the sad news on her Instagram page, revealing that her brother, John Olabiyi Silva, aged 73, had passed away.

Describing him as easy-going, Silva prayed for his soul to rest in peace, writing:

“With acceptance of God’s Sovereign will. We announce the call to Glory of my dear brother John Olabiyi Silva, long John Silva. Bros B…Uncle B…. My easy-going, lucky brother. Rest in peace. January 22nd, 1953–August 29th, 2025.”
