“I’m Sorry, I Was Misinformed” – Actress Sarah Martins Apologizes to Davido Over A Post She Made About His Wife

The drama between actress Sarah Martins and Afrobeats star Davido erupted when Martins posted on Instagram, suggesting Davido’s supposed new restaurant should honor his wife, Chioma, calling her a “passionate fantastic chef.”

In her words, 

“This is coming from a place of LOVE because I am a huge fan of OBO. I honestly feel Davido’s restaurant should have been opened for Chioma or probably in her name because we’ve always known her to be a passionate fantastic chef so I was really anticipating a day will come when Davido will happily announce Chioma’s (in her name) restaurant not Davido’s restaurant. “

Meanwhile, Singer Davido wasn’t having it so he fired back, “U no get sense… no restaurant was opened, that was a promotional campaign with @foodcourt_app for my album 5️⃣.. now take my wife’s picture off page,” clarifying it was a marketing stunt, not a real venture.

Fans debated Martins’ intentions, with some accusing her of seeking attention. Tensions rose when Martins revealed Davido had once DMed her, saying, “You’re a vibe, let’s link up sometime,” hinting at a past connection. 

Facing backlash, Martins posted an apology video on Instagram stating, “If you know me, you’ll know I’m a diehard fan of 001 and Chioma. I was misinformed by Opeyemi’s post and never meant disrespect. I’m truly sorry.” Reactions remain divided, with some forgiving her and others questioning her motives.
