“I am Igbo by blood” — Davido replies a man who told him to avoid Igbos, just hours after flying in Legendary singer, Bright Chimezie

Nigerian afro-beats star, Davido, made a heart warming gesture to the legendary singer Bright Chimezie, after taking inspiration from Chimezie’s classic song “English for Key,” which influenced his recent collaboration “With You” with Omah Lay.

In a phone call, Davido showed his admiration for Chimezie’s music and invited him to Lagos. Fast track to this week, and the special moment came to reality as Bright Chimezie arrived in Lagos to meet Davido.

However, an X user has recently come out to condemn Davido’s affiliation with the Igbo tribe as a Yoruba man, citing material exploitation and betrayal as the consequences.

“Davido just de carry Ibo full body,until when Dem betray am before e rest, Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025,they want your head and everything you have to belong to them,you can never satisfy Ibos ooo, IBOs are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man”

Davido seemed to disagree with this belief as he claims he is part of Igbo tribe by bloodline.
